Improving social and economic equality by encouraging both resiliency and behavior change through developing information systems, education, growing partnerships and building local capacity with a focus on economically disadvantaged and geographically impacted areas.
These programs will cultivate a values based approach and viability to the unique climate related issues which are not directly at odds with a sustainable environment and culture preservation. It supports and amplifies cultural and community leaders working to change the narrative and revitalize community resilience and adaptation in the face of a changing climate and world.
Indigenous women are disproportionately affected by the climate crisis — and they are powerful agents to fight it. Building a sustainable future entails harnessing the knowledge, skills and leadership of women in climate action. A critical step to protecting the planet is elevating the rights and roles of the world’s indigenous peoples, especially women.
